Pop of Yellow

Hello everyone! We are pretending that winter is over and Spring is here! We wanted to add some color to brighten our mood.  Just a little background the room is pretty neutral with neutral paint and furnishings in earth tones. It is easy to add an accent color to brighten a space, and in this case, it completely temporary, no need to re-paint! For this room, we chose yellow, (what could be more cheery? Think SPRING, remember?!) All you have to do is gather a few pieces in the same color, varying shades or all one shade, doesn't matter- anything goes! Our anchor piece(s) were 3 canisters in bold yellow, and we found tulips to match! We think it was just enough...do you agree?

 

This is our favorite part! We were able to use some new greenery from our shop. We were able to display this in a treenware box, but a basket, vase, bowl, or anything can be used! Don't they look real? You can find the greens here.

We liked how the rustic look of the box compliments the old time Tuscan feel of the jars. 

 

There you have it! All pulled together on our side table here. A pop of yellow goes a long way. You can choose to put yellow in other areas of the room or just keep it simple in one spot. We are feeling a lot more like spring now! (Just have to pull the blinds a little to hide the snow!)
