Hi Everyone! How many of you like to decorate a mantel? We do! I think one of our favorite things to decorate is a mantel. Maybe it is because it is the focal point of the room and it brings everything together. We are lucky enough to have more than one to play with! We also change them often. So today we wanted to share you guessed it a Spring Mantel!
It is always best to start with the larger items when decorating a mantel like this. We placed the mirror and crackle urn light towards the end. The box is an old sewing box.
To add your own custom arrangement is so easy! We used some fern sprays and a hanging green spray. First you want to place the hanging green on one end and let it flow. You want to use the empty end of the mantel since you already have the larger items on the other side.
We also placed a candle in the middle. We placed the fern sprays on the other side to balance our the sewing box.
See how easy!? We added some artichokes to the box to break up the greenery and add some dimension. The last thing we did for the sewing box was add a branch pick to the back of the box.
Now you can add other items with different heights to balance the entire mantel out.
We always like to decorate the hearth since we won't be using the fireplace for spring/summer.
We kept the same color scheme and added some Easter touches!
Love these tulips!
We added some glitter to these eggs and love the way they turned out! We put these in the cloche.
Thanks for stopping by and happy decorating!
Very pretty! I love the arrangement you made on top of the mantel. You've got me thinking to get out the hanging garland I've got that looks like the one you started off with. I cut pieces off it every so often to use for a project. Love how you decorated the hearth, too. I usually just have something at either end.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! We use hanging garlands for so many different things. We always cut them too! We usually decorate the hearth for spring/summer, and then get excited to remove it for fires when fall comes around. Have a great weekend! :)
DeleteOh, this is gorgeous! I love your mantel and the way you've put together the floral. Thanks for showing us how.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and thanks for popping in to see me,
