Hi Everyone! Well I hate to start to post out with saying it is STILL snowing here!!!! We are so ready for Spring it is crazy! We are trying to decorate our houses for spring to bring us out of the long winter blues! We should to see a warm up this weekend and can't wait. Today we wanted to share a shelving unit decorated for spring/everyday. I always seem to have trouble decorating these bookshelves, but my mom and I did it together and I liked the way it turned out! When I say we did it together I really mean she did it while I took notes! haha We got my topiaries and greenery out and went to town!
I always use the battery operated candles on these bookshelves because they give perfect lighting and warmth to the whole room. I love them on here.
We placed some fern pics on the bookshelf to add warmth. I love these ferns, they are great to make potted plants out of. I made a few for these shelves.
We filled the long metal basket with some greens and moss balls.
On this wire finial we wrapped some greens and let them hang to add some color.
We tied a burlap bow around three candles. Make things different!
We love greenery! We decorate so much with greenery, you can see the mantel is full of it but I am not done with that yet, so don't look to close! I want to make it flow with the shelves, and make the room cozy with all of the greenery. We ordered some birds and bird cages that haven't come in yet so we will keep you posted on what we will do with those! We hope you all have a wonderful week. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh they look absolutely fabulous!! I adore the yellow pitcher. I know what you mean about snow.....just heard we are under a winter storm watch for Tuesday! Spring, where are you? Jane

Thanks Melinda! We are waiting and waiting for spring! Decorating helps us get in the mood!
DeleteYour shelves look great, I wish I had space for shelves like those.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, thanks so much! I love the shelves since I redid them sometimes they give me a hard time, but I like the challenge!
DeleteYour book shelves look wonderful. I really liked the candle idea of tieing them all together with a bow, very clever. Isn't it fun to decorate? I've been doing a lot of that lately too. That is amazing that it is still snowing where you live. It is getting warmer here during the days, and you can tell spring is on its way. I love the snow, and wish I saw more of it where I live.
